고려대학교 안산병원 비뇨의학과 박재영·태범식 교수팀의 논문 ‘Correlation of Androgen Deprivation Therapy with Cognitive Dysfunction in Patients with Prostate Cancer: A Nationwide Population-Based Study Using the National Health Insurance Service Database’가 2020년 제12회 대한암학회 로슈 암학술상 수상논문으로 선정됐다.

전립선암에 대한 남성 호르몬 억제 요법과 인지기능 장애에 관한 연관성에 대해 건강보험심사평가원 빅데이터를 이용해 연구한 논문은 2019년 Cancer research and treatment에 게재된 바 있다.

태범식 교수는 한국인들의 빅데이터를 이용해 고령환자들에게 남성 호르몬 억제 요법이 인지기능 저하와 연관성이 있을 수 있음을 밝힌 점이 기존연구와 차별화된 부분이라고 설명했다.

박재영·태범식 교수팀은 같은 방식으로 진행한 빅데이터 연구를 통해 전립선암과 뇌졸중에 대한 연관성이 없음을 밝힌 논문 ‘Is androgen deprivation therapy associated with cerebral infarction in patients with prostate cancer? A Korean nationwide population‐based propensity score matching study’을 2019년 Cancer medicine에 게재했고, 이 논문 역시 심평원 빅데이터 우수연구 사례로 선정된 바 있다.
